In Faith, We Abide In Christ.

Faith is an Effect of Grace!

One important thing about faith is; Christians are called into fellowship by the Faithfulness of God. We should learn to speak in the same manner as others in fellowship. Why? That there be no divisions among us, joined together as in the mind of Christ, and in judgement. (1 Cor 1:9-10; 2:16) It is His choice to whom He lets His Gift of Faith. Faith is not something we can demand, like lets do lunch. (No pun intended) It is not something we can warrant though effort.

Faith is given to the Christian who does not think of themselves as being holier than others, having more of the Holy Spirit, having greater gifts, or even an extra measure of faith. These gifts of Grace are non-judgemental, and never dependant on position or performance. (Phil 2:1-3) Christian, whatever your denominational bias you may have, you have but one measure of faith, and it is your Gift from God. It is a given, to learn of Christ. It is a given, that your righteousness be of God, and in Christ Jesus. (Rom 12:3; 2 Cor 5:21)

This measure of faith is a gift administered by the Holy Spirit.(1 Cor 12:9).You do not have this gift for whatever pleases you, or for who you are in society, but rather, God grants you this one measure so you would not be left behind, lose out on heavenly benefits, and on earth, fellowship amongst brethren in Christ. The greatest benefit of the gift of faith is, to believe the Living Word of God, and walk in confidence of being a child of God in a foreign land. (John 1:12)

Every Christian has spiritual discernment. The natural man cannot perceive the things of God; they are spiritual. They appear foolish and absurd. Faith is not something you control, for we are spared the foolishness of man. (1 Cor 2:14)

Why this site was developed.

This site was developed to help Christians understand how to identify with Christ in His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension. (Rom 6:3-6; Gal 2:20) It is a precursor to my book, “Is There Really Life After Death?” In life, the author experienced healing, used as an instrument of healing, a Bible scholar, counsellor, a discerner of truth, and church administrator. In practice, he teaches English asa second language, and tutors adults and children with learning disorders, deficits, speech maladies, author of books and a philosopher of ethics. Every Gift is held In Trust

I trust, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of Wisdom, and Revelation in the knowledge of Him, (Jesus) and that the eyes of your understanding may be enlightened; and that you may come to know what is the hope of His (Jesus) calling, and what the riches of the glory of His (Jesus) inheritance is in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His (Jesus) power toward us who believe, according to the working of His (God the Father) mighty power which He (God the Father) brought about in Christ, (His only begotten Son) when He (God the Father) raised Him (Jesus) from the dead, and set Him (Jesus) at His (God the Father) Own right hand in heaven. (Eph 1:17-20) All things are of the Son, Jesus Christ, especially, our faith.

Faith is necessary in every Christian. One cannot walk in obedience, or claim the promises of God without this measure of faith. Without this gift, it is impossible to please God, and know His will. He who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. (Heb 11:6)

One Measure Needed to Obey

God extends, but one measure of faith. This is so, because Christian must remain true to the Scriptures, obedient to the Holy Spirit, and in understanding the Word of the Lord. If you resist God, you cannot please Him. If you choose to do works (even religious works) without the leading of the Spirit, you are not in obedience to the law of God, but subject to the flesh in obedience to the law of sin. Rom. 7:25)

A choice must always be made. It is easy to choose to obey the flesh when everything is going well, but when we seek to know His will, one must exercise the gift of faith. Otherwise, one will conform to the standards set by the working of the imagination, world view, each of which, the natural man hold dearly. Trust and Obey, for there no other way than to trust and obey. Obey the LORD with all your heart and mind, lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.(Prove 3:5-6)

How to Increase Your Faith a Hundredfold

Christian, this is a problem. In fact, you cannot increase God’s measure of faith. We have free will, but we cannot make alterations to any Gift of God. The real battle is between the flesh and the Spirit. We must choose whom we will serve. It is impossible for a Christian to alter God’s capacity to give. Like any thing, that is not of the Spirit, one can make of them what one wills, but is is of the flesh.

What is Mustard Seed remains Mustard Seed.

Most Christians never grasp what Jesus meant in the passage of the mustard seed. He likened the Kingdom of God to a mustard seed where it grew and became a large tree wherein birds of the air nested in its branches. Later, when He answered the Apostle’s plea to increase their faith, He likened their request to a mustard seed where one could pull it up as a mulberry tree by its roots and plant it in the sea. If you are in Christ, you have all the faith you need to excel.

In contrast, most Christians are busy about nothing. For instance, Jesus referred to one having a servant who asked him to come and dine, only to have him serve the master until after he had eaten. The apostles knew in their heart, they were busy about things unprofitable, and doing what they thought was their duty as followers of the Lord. (Luke 13:13; 18-19, 17:5-10) Jesus taught them that more faith was not the problem, but being busy bodies was unprofitable. The victory needed to overcome the world is God’s own measure of faith. The Christian church has too many irons in the fire helping society deal with their ills, while neglecting the commandment of God to bring forth fruit unto God. (Rom 7:4) Through this measure of faith, we can know God’s will. Faith tells the Christian that, “If God be for them, who can be against them. (Romans 8:31) The great commission of Matthew twenty eight verse nineteen through twenty, is nigh being lost in favor of doing good works. (Matt 28:19-20)

In Summary, Faith is Our Victory

Jesus said, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up the cross daily and follow me.” To take up one’s cross daily means that you follow after Jesus to His death on the cross. Jesus, although fully God, was fashioned as a man (human being), yet humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, (God’s judgement upon man) even the death of the cross. (Phil. 2:8) Jesus died, as a man in sacrifice unto God the Father, and so we too, in identification of the old man, Adam’s life, as found in all human kind, are contrary to God’s law, and must die unto that spirit of life. To be born again, is to be a new creature.

It was Jesus who suffered for sin, the just for the unjust, so to speak. that He (Jesus) might bring us (Christians) to God that we might crucify the flesh, the nature of Adam, and be made alive in the Spirit of Christ. (1 Peter 3:18). Now, if being put to death in the flesh, the Christian is then made alive through the Spirit. So, If the Spirit of Him (God the Holy Spirit) who raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in the Christian, He (God the Father) Who raised up Christ from the dead shall cause these mortal bodies to be immortal and filled with the spirit of the new creation. It is He, (God the Son) whose Spirit (the Holy Spirit) that dwells therein. (Rom 8:11) Only faith can substantiate these things. (Gal 2:20)

The cross puts to death, the work of the flesh. This is why Paul's stated, “I die daily” (1 Corinthians 15:31). They that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with all affections and lust. So, if we live in the Spirit, let us walk in the Spirit. (Gal 5:24-25) Each day the flesh will cause you to believe this is not so, and become the driving force in your mortal body, but you have the power to appropriate its crucifixion over and over again on a daily basis. Learn how to live daily in Christ.

Since we, the “new creation” are raised together with Christ in heaven, our minds are set on the things of God. Afterall, we died to Adam’s sin! Our new life is hid in Christ. Christ is our Life. (Col 3:4) This is the hope and mystery that is carried over until Christ returns to redeem our body immortal. Faith is our victory. Without this measure of faith, being God’s Gift, which is Christ’s at His appearance, and given by God in Christ, one cannot know truth.

God reveals Himself through faith. It is only when God draws us to Himself by faith that He reveals His will. The Bible affirms that faith is produced by the Spirit working in our lives. Faith is the evidences of the Spirit’s fruit in our life. If you will to obey God’s Word, trust God for deliverance from sin, and believe Jesus Christ to be the Way the Truth and the Life, you will be saved. Why not study to show yourself approved unto God, and buy my book, “Is There Really Death After Life?” Set your mind on the things of the Spirit, learn to walk in the Spirit, and you will experience the Gift of God, His measure of Faith, and live abundantly in Christ, in heavenly places. (Eph 2:6) Amen!
